I died recently and so lost the Taslamaran courser my char was riding. Going back to Exile, a new one was purchased, except when I typed mount courser, it said:
Quote:
You can't ride him.

Now I think this might have been what it said recently when another char bought a golden-mained lion, but I kind of figured that the mounting capabilities and been stripped from that.
I do know that I freed my original pet in the room where I bought the lion, and there was already a courser sitting in the store where I bought my unridable courser. No idea if that has anything to do with it or not.

I /think/ Dulrik wiped all the pets in the game to the point of not being able to do anything, and then left it up to the KDs to go back and 'rebuild' the pets to fit whatever crazy guidelines he has. Maybe not. But that's what it seems like happened. I'm assuming the Taslamar KD hasn't gotten around to fixing pets.

Coursers kept the ability to bash/rescue (I presume), but cannot be mounted. The reason that your previous one could is because you bought it before the change.

How recent was this? I was riding a courser a couple days ago, is my favorite steed no longer an option for me?

Wow. Well thanks for the tips. Then I might ask that a horse be given the crazy ability to allow a mount.

I first noticed this last night about 4 or 5 GMT. I had probably had the original one for a few days to a week.

Seems it may have been especially dumb to free the new unmountable pet and buy a new one hoping it would be working...

Maybe soon you'll have to learn the skill "riding"??? That could be interesting.

And maybe size reqs for Mounts, my gnome should not be able to mount a courser without stilts involved.
