So, essentially, your problem seems to be that people can no longer hide in a hole and keep their loot safe when they can't win.

(Voodoo is there for the express purpose of uh..killing people you can't find. From whereever you want. And as the vote shows, everybody thinks you're a whiny [REDACTED] for complaining about seance.)

My point is that people can not play the game when they're outnumbered on the who list unless they feel like getting screwed without having a dang thing they can do about it.

Chill out, the only point of this thread is whether seance is meant to be used in the way it is: I feel like it was meant to be an RP-only spell and the fact that it prevents resurrection was merely a side-affect of it: I don't think it was meant to be a PK spell meant solely for preventing people from getting resurrected as long as some "RP" is thrown in.

I made this thread to get the opinions of the pbase, and the opinions of the IMMs. I've gotten the former, and hopefully at least attracted enough attention to the latter.

You know, if Sakamoto hadn't ganked me at the stones and went on his power trip about I HAVE YOUR LOOT AND MIGHT NOT GIVE IT BACK (lol, oh noes, don't keep my mithril which there are like 15 sets of! Please, no!), he never would have gotten voodoo'd. And then you douchebags summon ganked me, so the lame war is on full steam. Looks like I'm winning by a lot.

I've played 3 GM shamans before. Maybe voodoo ganked 2-3 people on each character tops.

Actually, the only person that brought it up was you, and no one else really seems to care. If the IMMs decide that EQ-passing in jail is illegal, I'll be okay with that. I honestly think it's fine: It's also off-topic.

And yes, in case you haven't noticed, this thread is about seance: Voodoo is also a related point, but only because it's the only type of kill for which seance could be used to prevent people from getting resurrected.

I also don't see how you using voodoo is our fault, but hey, sure, the devil made you do it.

My alts are rather boring, for your information, but less boring than logging in with no allies and sitting around for nothing but the chance to get voodoo'd, seanced, and full looted.
