So a log that shows that he switches from defensive to aggressive on an opponent that is aiming for his legs is not a good enough log? The rest of your post is irrelevant nonsense to the topic at hand.

Let me get this straight.

Point A: One guy, in this one fight, switched from defensive to aggressive while his opponent was aiming lower.

Conclusion: Therefore, mood defensive doesn't give a bonus to shield block against leg attacks.

I have a feeling you're missing something, I just can't quite put my finger on it.

I just couldn't get over the fact that Rorey didn't kill the other guy's terror bird in the first 20 rounds of combat, TBH.

Yeah, he was too busy almost dying. Farine was to me a wonderful example of why some classes aren't OP: Because he went toe-to-toe with the most dangerous solo PC the game has seen in a while and almost won, despite being a paladin fighting a grey-aura.

Antiira probably could have killed Rorey, but he wouldn't have gained anything at all from it considering that Antiira was at just about maximum potential when I deleted him.

Nostalgia, I miss my paladin. Good fight, and mood defense is way better than any other mood. Even my necromancer was defensive most of the time to avoid arrows and have a chance at dodging backstabs.
