No.

Bash/rescue are the only ones who will get used. Well, by people who aren't /complete/ newbies, anyways.

The mountable versions will still get used by low level characters to help with travel. That's why some sort of unified standard needs to be introduced so that equine pets are mountable and the rest have bash, rescue, etc.

It is going to be really irritating for newbies and low level characters to find a pet store, buy a horse, and then get the message that it can't be mounted. Just make it uniform across all pets stores and all kingdoms, so that you know exactly what you are getting when you buy a pet.

Seriously. Is there a point to mountable pets now?

Traveling PE reduction. Kinda nice for people who can't cast refresh.

Thank you, captain underpants. And then, after you're high enough level and have endurance/flight staves/refresh in the form of a group member . . . Will there be a point past level 20?

With the current code, a pet cannot have the ability to bash and be mountable at the same time. It is either the one or the other.

That was true in the first version of the pet standards, but not in the version that is now in effect. At any rate, I have directed builders to make sure pets that are "obviously" mounts should always have the mountable flag included. Your patience as things get juggled around is appreciated.

Un non-spellcasters. I less-than-three you when you double negative at me. ;) But I do agree with Syndal, if this were to go as it was speculated before D showed up, mounts would pretty much be a thing in the past. OR you'd see a massive shift to Tribunals for said un non-spellcasters.

Thanks Dulrik. We'll be patient.
