I think it's incredibly minimal, but I did notice myself drop a tick after fleeing a week or so ago.

I think we need more aggro stuff, not less. When death can come at any moment, the game ends up being a bit more exciting. Just be ready to flee, flee, flee!

Two words though, npc tracking. Although now that I think about it, NPC tracking is significantly worse (which is to say better) than it was a few years ago.

I will go invisible, ethereal, and airborne and a blinded NPC will still track me all over the place.

In the old days, sorcs would run into the matron houses in Ch'zzrym ethereal and pick up all the matrons, the high-priestess - and then run them into cities and just have the NPCs kill everything.

It's gotten better.

One time I got Karnak and his group of NPCs to chase me all the way to the Hammer Keep and kill their outer guardian for me. It was pretty awesome.

killed by a cougar with no priests about.

There -should- be more aggro NPCs in the wilderness, indeed. Provided though that the playerbase can support it.
I do not think that the current playerbase can support that.
ps: the cougar was WAY off where it usually is in an area that ppl cross often.

I think he's saying his character was on the road/ at the stones. And that the cougar was out of its usual wilderness place.

No actually I was not, although that area I died in is a well travelled one, from anyone that travels from nerina to Sith'a'niel.
