I believe that now we're used to CTF, (it's been a few years now), we should have our old, unique cabal HQs back.

Considering the generally reviled status of CTF (really, even in FPS games, CTF generally loses out to free-for-all), I can't fathom why stripping the cabal HQs of their uniqueness and equalizing them was considered a good thing if it was done solely to support CTF.

Balanced? Sure. Interesting? No.

Variety is good. It not only makes the RP more interesting, as each location actually reflects the organization that resides there, but it would make cabal conflict more interesting as well since there would be more than one way to approach the problem. From my understanding, the current plan is, "Wait until the rival cabal is offline, get a group together, kill the outer guardian, profit."

Cabal HQs are at least more unique than I used to think, though as far as layout, the Hammer HQ is by far the most boring, with the MC being second. Druid and Crucible HQs are still really cool.

CRS Murdered any decent RP behind cabals and turned them into guilds. I will never understand how suddenly an item becomes the source of all the cabals' powers ruining their backstories and history just for the sake of upping the PVP ratio.

Dulrik has listened to many a suggestions and changed plenty lately. With what seems to be a vast majority of the playerbase hating CRS, one has to wonder if he is ignoring the request because he just wants the system in place, or if it may just be too large a task to tackle just now, task being removing all of the CRS components.

I think if cabals face the risk of losing their powers then tribunals should also have a fear factor too. Not really sure what one can take from them though? Just seems really silly that an entire tribunal could raid a cabal HQ without fear of said tribunal losing any type of powers or authority. This is why I think CRS needs to go away.

I don't think that Cabals should lose powers when relics are lost at the moment, because ganking an inner guardian when defenders are offline is extremely easy.

However, I think it would probably be worse if it were reversed and cabals gained -bonuses- for keeping relics of other cabals. It would still just encourage griefing accounts when the defenders were offline.

I would much rather prefer that if anything, relic ganking should be impossible with opposing cabal members offline. Instead of increasing the number of spawned guards (Which are useless now, they totally suck) when defenders are offline, increase the HP of the inner guardian by a huge amount if there are no defenders: But make it actually have an indeterminate lag period, so that if someone logs out within a short time period (2 minutes maybe) before a raid on their cabal starts the inner guardian doesn't receive any bonuses. Also, remove the absurd amount of coin given by spawned guards, and also make the outer guardian cost 1/10 of what it costs to replace, and make the inner guardian cost like 15 obsidian to replace.

CRS was, I think, meant to encourage PK, discourage hoarding, and allow for cabals to have a way to "win," but all that it does now is encourage killing NPCs when the opposing cabal is offline and encourage hoarding as many relics as possible. Winning CRS is also completely empty, because honestly any group of 4 or less competent high-level PCs can take out an inner guardian if no defenders are online. I should know, on the test server I repeatedly took out the outer guardian of the MC with a level 40 gnome shaman wearing mithril that wasn't enchanted extra at all, a gnome merc using an unspecced weapon, and a level 44 priest. Our damage output sucked horribly, but even then we could have taken out the inner guardian too if we all had heal potions.

Oh, and they were all played by me.

Crap, during the barbarian hero tourney a hammarb SOLO'D an inner guardian with healing potions. That's just stupid.

Well, call it Golden Age syndrome or what not, but I miss the times when wars between cabals were sparked by RP and they would simply hunt down each other's members, than go PvE and kill some guardian for a relic and this way render the opponent cabal useless. That brought the war mostly outside HQs, in the open world. The only reason a cabal would have to raid another cabal's HQ would be to dehoard them. I fondly remember the time where in the Fists HQ there was some actual dojo RPing with senseis and all.

I really like how nowadays most players have decided to boycott CRS because it's not fun.

I actually always liked the MC HQ.

The Harlequin HQ is alright.

Hammer HQ sucks.

I have no idea wtf the Crucible HQ looks like, because my Crucible member did not have gate. And therefore spent no time there. Good job on that one, Imms.

Not very familiar with Druid/Fist HQs.

CRS sucks. Then again, Cabals in general suck. Bring back the Adepts, plzkthx, not this darkie-lite BS that is the Crucible.
