Shattered Kingdoms

I've seen people scribing before and when they fail the scroll is destroyed and they receive a fireball message, why is this different from the warlock fireball? I'm not sure why the fireball from the scroll doesn't affect everyone in the room just like the warlock spell does.

Because if scribing caused a room affect fireball it would suck and require sorcs to only scribe when in complete solitude, therefore discouraging player interaction.

The actual spell is the same, just only affects one person.

It's good how it is, lets not make this worst. That'd mean you couldnt have a charm, pet, npc's, or anyone nearby you as you scribe.
