If people would actually leave their home town and go pk in other places, we wouldnt stack up our wanted lists.

Also "Can't do the time, don't do the crime" sounds like an [REDACTED] comment. there would never be any pk then and it would in turn make this game boring. We play the game for enjoyment, not for sitting afk while you're in a jail cell for 100 IRL hours.

With gate, everywhere is easy to attack. And guard NPCs suck, except for the 3 or 4 from each Kingdom you see being used in PK. Without gate, Sith'a'niel, the Moot, and Nerina are probably the hardest places to attack.

True. That wasn't the point of my post, however.

Guess what? Other people play the game for enjoyment too.

Your actions decrease their enjoyment but that doesn't seem to factor into your decisions considering how often I hear people boasting about ganking and inflicting misery. Which is fine. Griefing is how the game operates and I normally don't say anything. I just take umbrage at you now trying to play the victim card because you were forced to endure something that you don't enjoy when people are constantly having to endure the things that you do that they don't enjoy.

That was the point of my "Guess what else OOCly horribly sucks?" post. The rest is just elaboration.

I've done the whole "can't play for two weeks" thing before. Read a book. Not that I've ever seen someone actually sit in a jail cell for more than a couple of hours.

Anyone can use those lock picks and it may be the most awesome item in the game. I don't see anything wrong with using it to pick jail cells, especially since getting jail keys is not exactly difficult. Picking cabal hq gates is a bit much though.

Man... I wish I had those lockpicks. So many doors I never figured out to open.

I was told otherwise by the immstaff when I brought this caveat up earlier this year when Peso was taunting me about having possessed it on Ariya.

I saw it used by someone other then Zellidon, so I am pretty sure anyone can use it. :P

I was actually ok with this item until I found it can be used by anyone. I had considered making a similar item as marfik, only to be used on jail cells. Having an item that anyone can use to unlock an HQ is too much though. I just don't trust you guys that much. :P

It sounds like oldesword really shouldn't have joined the keeper tribunal. Joining that tribunal has always meant that a large chunk of your online time is devoted to defending against attackers. People who join that tribunal are supposed to understand this, and are usually people who enjoy PvP.

A lot of people enjoy defending their city. Nobody enjoys sitting in jail.

I had the chance to gank this item as Pilnor and instead let him keep it. I am very sad about this.

Yes it was intended only to be used by my character, but it was discovered that was botched somehow. I've told Achernar but he's obviously a busy person. You could gank it if you want but you probably wouldn't keep it very long. Anyway what Edoras claimed in the op is wrong; it doesn't "open any door anywhere" it has limitations although I wish it didn't.

I don't think I've abused it in the slightest compared to what you could imagine some other players doing with it. Honestly I find it amusing that you complain about one little jail break when there's this certain slightly ridiculous shaman item that has been around forever that's been roflstomping the lighties ;P.
