Both jhorleb and ardith are currently playing relatively successful characters in SK PvP, both have made leadership through longevity, sporting prominent figures of SK in their respective cabal/tribunal -- and they are both, Deep-elves.

A third prominent figure with leadership of another important SK cabal is also, a Deep-elf. 3 for 3. Coincidence? Up until recently Druids were spearheaded by a long-lived, prominent Deep-elf.

When was the last time a relatively successful elven caster character existed in SK PvP, made leadership through longevity, became prominent figure of SK in their respective cabal/tribunal, in recent years, around the time concentration change was made (Feb 04 2011), and up to date?

Ardith just played an elf who would have met all those requirements if she weren't deleted for messing around with the no-save bug. The hammer is led by an elf who seems pretty solid to me. idk, elves have fewer strengths but less devastating weaknesses compared to delves. FoD just isn't the same thing as BoG.

Agreed. Also, I'll take an aged elf over an aged deep-elf caster stat-wise if we're talking longevity.

The reason you see more deep-elves than elves has nothing to do with stat allocation and everything to do with the fact that it is easier (imo, of course) to play a darkie on this game than it is a lightie if you are a middle of the road player. One of my greatest struggles as Paedrig is dealing with lighties who think my elf is a bad person for despising deep-elves and dealing with lolrp from people who expect me to roll in as a solo priest behind a pet to fight groups of 3+ MC merc/barbs. Valid RP or not, it's [REDACTED] frustrating to play a pking lighty and makes the chances of a long-lived character go down unless you're tough enough and know enough about the mud (aka Ardith's recent paladin) to just take care of yourself and tell people to shove it. Nothing to do with stat allocations.

Hi, I had recently played an elf paladin that made it to nearly 170 years old. I managed to curb stomp several people when I was not busy studying for skool. Syn also played an elf warlock not too long ago that curb stomped team darkie into submission. I think you are merely creating a new river for SK to swim through with your tears about deep-elves. That, and you still just seem to focus on caster classes.

Agreed. Elves may not make the best sorcerers, but they are by no means bad. If you want to actually play a poor caster race, I would invite you to take a second look at dwarves or giants.

Dwarf priests are horrible, and I don't think Giants can hold very many spells as a shaman..maybe SA and cast cure light behind it.

I'll have to remind you that the reason I chose deep-elf had nothing to do with their massive int score, and just because I wanted to play a deep-elf hellion.
