I'm disappointed that you would expect us to, after intelligently weighing the odds. So let's say we actually came up and killed you... then what?

That doesn't slow you down. It just makes you angrier.

And I'm not QQing -- I'm just saying you (and baldric) are also not welcome to QQ about voodoo on your "unstoppable" characters, because you're facing one of her many limitations. Personally, I voted for "remove it," because it's an absolutely stupid spell. But while it's there, you have no right to complain. Suck it up, eat the voodoo, and make them pay. Or delete and let other people use the precious loot that you're now effectively hoarding.

Pretty sure I'm not QQing about voodoo.

Everybody else seems to be QQing about the fact that I was intelligent enough to give my EQ to someone before leaving Losache, and my corpse being empty when they voodoo'd me.

Well, I'm getting out of this one, because frankly I'm not even sure who's supposed to be crying about what anymore, but I will conclude my piece with the following:

It saddens me to see the four players from whom I have received the most grace, and from whom I have seen some of the most dignified and expert PK and RP, sit around and squabble like a bunch of four-year-olds over forty lines of text representing a loot pile. I hope that when this is all washed, somehow the lot of you can regain some of your class and dignity and stop pooping all over the forums, yielding a very misappropriated perception of the game.

See you in game.

/thread

(longish load)

:edit: And yes, I realize it's not exactly fitting, but I was expecting Baldric to deliver a stronger retort, and this took me _wayyyy_ too long to not post.

That is why I gave up discussing this. It is not going to change anything, because people are set in their ways and don't feel like they are wrong. I would like hearing the eemortals stand point on some things discussed.

They did this already. I got cursed half a level for voodooing Syric, and telling him I did it because he logged off Saphir immediately after I sent Saphir a tell.

Therefore, the Imms approve of and support logging off to avoid PK. (I have a PM from Marfik as proof, on top of the curse.)

Wow, syn. You and logic must be on really bad terms.

You ate a curse because you voodoo'd someone else's char for OOC reasons and admitted it. Also, I don't know what sort of tell you sent saphir or syric or whoever, but he was certainly not in the same situation as baldric was when he logged off. Furthermore, instead of trying to report the player for what you felt was an offense, you chose to police the matter yourself and play an OOC game, instead of an IC one.

And here I thought my expert attempt at Pixar-level animation would win this thread, and the internet. But this is so close to exactly how I feel that I just had to quote it. Tragonis and Baldric are probably the two players I respect the most in this game, and watching this bitchfight unfold makes me so sad.

She worded that poorly. The point was that the IMMs specifically said that Syric broke no rules and that you were allowed to log off to avoid dying.

Logging off to avoid confrontation, or when you have IC knowledge that someone is trying to kill you is A-Okay.
