Since when and why do the Tlaxcala mages get chaos? I've never had them cast that and then today, I've got hit twice. Thankfully I've killed them both right after so it hasn't really mattered. But this seems rather absurd that they should have this.

Really? I must of have killed thousands of mages there on multiple chars and I never recall seeing it. Oh well thanks. Though I stand by the fact that that's rather absurd that these mages have it.

There is about a 1% chance they will cast it.

I'm not sure what the "chaos" spell is, but I know those monks cast confusion since the day the area was put in. Back in the day, it was so much easier. All you had to do was close the door to the room and you wouldn't wander around attacking everything in sight. Then the doors got removed from their hinges (because the visitors were bad boys and girls, attacking everything in sight) and people complained until they figured out how to deal with it.

Of course now the floor plan has been reworked. It took me a while to realize it was a reworked floor plan and not the loss of the second floor. Made it harder for darkies. (And the loss of that javelin! Aww )

The mages cast confusion, I think, not chaos. Chaos is the same thing as confusion except it is group-affecting.

Hmm, if I remember right it does affect the whole group. I could be wrong though.

They do cast chaos, it happens every so often. Good times.

I really think more NPCs in the training areas should cast chaos / confusion. That would encourage players to group and get more insight in the spells. Another benefit is that you won't be grinding so much because you have to deal with the spells mentioned.

Just kill them in three hits or less like a man.
