Am I the only one who gets irritated when ghosts hang around long after they're dead? I mean, I understand keeping a character for a little while for fun, but after a while I want to scream "ROLL A NEW CHAR ALREADY."

I might be the only one.

Unfortunately I can see some would abuse this and bind to places they shouldn't, thereby creating an invincible spy (pending arrival of an exorcist).

You could restrict it. If you can program "no magic," "no gate," and "single occupancy," I have full faith in your ability to create "no bind" rooms.

Give age-ticked ghosts the ability to greet and be greeted.

I still stick by that it would probably be easiest and make the most sense for ghosts to be able to manifest to the portal stones. You reincarnate there, the Oracle reconstitutes you there, certain individuals ressurect you there. One of these days a ghost is going to remember this and try it out, and it would only make sense that they would succeed.

Then certain people would never roll new chars.

Why make them? Some chars are worth keeping around. There are also trainers that are "ghosts", give PC ghosts the mentor ability.

This I disagree with. I do like having my ghost character around for RP from time to time. It is fun and some people have really enjoyed seeing a blast from the past for a little RP. But mentor points are not for ghosts and I think it is unfair that a ghost character might take those away from a current character that can make use of them. I mean sheesh, I got a mentor point on Thyki the month she died and I feel terrible seeing it there going to waste.
