There are several other spells that do not target the golem itself but it's immune to such. I think this takes away a unique tactic with training that particularly helps lower level people.

Feel free to let me know what you think those spells are so I can evaluate them again.

Any one with access to earthquake has access to earth elementals and to fly... The only problem with that setup is for people who can dispel them, which at low level warlocks is barely ever a problem. The only place I trained where that would matter was the gypsy camp, and then you just put you're extra flying pet in front of you and kill the casters. And you can actually heal those pets as opposed to the golems. Ta da! Oh and you're welcome Keyrah for making a post asking Dulrik to allow sleeping warlocks to see their elementals flicker. I understand though if that's not a terribly useful training tool, since I always love having my elemental up and disappear in the middle of a fight.

Side note, would this also mean people with MR enchants or barbs with MR trains should be fully affected by earthquake(if they aren't already)

It's a spell that targets the ground. The victim takes damage from the non-magical aftereffects. Earthquake was spelled out in the change notes as being immune to magic resistance and magical protection for this reason.

It's just using a different element, earth. (Instead of something like fire, water, or air) I'm not sure how that makes it any less of a magical attack, though?

And Zryych, you must not understand the fact that an Earth elemental is nowhere as useful as a magic immune golem for training against spell casters. Or was, anyways...this kind of screwed them over there.

Actually I've addressed that a few times. Yes golems can be more useful for training against casters. Where exactly though do you need a golem and have earthquake but not chain lightning, other than the gypsy camp? The gypsy camp is still easy enough to draw in the few casters with lighting and have a flying pet up front instead of your elemntal. By the time you actually need to worry about more than just a few casters you have chain lightning which the golem is still unaffected by. Chain lightning is far more damaging, far more useful, and far better for training. I've yet to ever once make a grandmaster and even I could figure this out. So I do apologize to the people training warlocks who mistakenly think that that setup is a good one for leveling, since I've gotten that taken away. But maybe now they'll stop and realize there's far better ways to do it.

And earthquake is using magic to send earth violently moving about which hits the golem. If the golem can resist that, then it should be able to resist any blunt force attacks like mace and flails. Heck it should frankly then be able to resist attack by all metal weapons since they're just forms of the earth element too.

You know what, it was a legitimate bug. It bugs me when people only report the bugs that affect them negatively and not positively. Zryych, let me know what character you are playing and I'll reward you a level for reporting it.

This bug I am sure Zryych used to help him level up already and thus why he now reported it. So does Earthquake not give experience anymore?
