Sometimes I do wonder if necros were hit too hard with the nerf bat. I usually find myself thinking this after I dismantle necromancer armies with ease and then teabag the necromancer repeatedly and viciously. I have to say that they are fine as they are, though. The undead army is just a difficult tactic to pull off against certain opponents. Necromancers have other things in their skillset that make them an absolutely great class even if you take wraiths out of the equation, and in some circumstances wraiths completely own.

Ironically, this was about a balance to a spell to bring it more not a necros suck thread.

It's very obvious by the supremely low players that play them. But I digress again...

This is about bolt being used by a group to gank solo players. I would like this (much like taunt was made) to be less effective in that case.

That's really it.

I wouldn't ever play a necromancer again, because they are simply overpowering. I think that is the real reason that more necromancers aren't played.

Nimbus breaking when it is multiple targets versus one is a fair idea. I hope this gets considered.

Someone made a thread similar to this 3 years ago. I made a necromancer. I facerolled the mud for weeks. I drained hundreds of obsidian in lighty faction accounts within one week. I spam ganked. People stopped logging on.

Necros now have animate dead lasting twice as long, controls saving on logout, even more badass scripts, impairment, etc. Yawn. I might have to do it again eventually.

Well, while you are doing that, please advocate for nimbus breaking in a many vs. 1 situation akin to taunt.

That's really all this is about, not if necros suck or if they are good.

It's about bolt of glory and group pvp.

Thanks!

The nimbus breaks when you murder your paladin assailant.

FYI.

It does not, however, break when your assailant runs away like a little schoolgirl.

Has that changed as of 2 weeks ago? That's when an IMM manifested and told me that what I was doing was cheating despite there being absolutely no other way for me to find that out.

Honestly I wish these sorts of things were more public knowledge because there's literally no way for anyone to find out, and if it's been reversed that means nothing because there's no way for players of necros to know.

Yes, it has. I ninja'd the code after the episode in question. I didn't bring it up because I think the tactic was a completely OOC way to use an artifact and I didn't really want to give anyone else bad ideas. But hey, since you've brought it up in this big lovefest, I felt I had to answer. But if you do feel you must do this, you now can, it just won't work as stupidly as it did when you first tried it.
