I don't think swashbucklers need much tweaking. Against Pagoro they'll lose, but against Deamuce, they'll win. Seems fair. Sometimes you just have to pick your battles. The only real tweaking that really is needed is how dual wield/second attack interact with stances, but then there is no real benefit for a swashbuckler to go defensive since they can't use shields.

If anything, barbarians could stand to be wimped.

With the new bonuses to riposte in defensive stance I can see them going defensive in more situations. then again I haven't rolled a swash, so whatever.

Defensive is [REDACTED] for a swashbuckler. If you go defensive, you can't get more than 3 attacks. Sure riposte is nice, but that only helps if you are fighting against a weapon that can be riposted.

Since I've played D&D, and I'm in a thieving mood...

Code:
Blade Barrier

The swashbuckler that focuses on fighting defensively uses his swords in such a manner as though he, or she wears a shield, and gains the bonuses as though wearing a shield. The swashbuckler's swords act as a protective wall, effectively providing defense from incoming blows.

I still think they should get craft eyepatch though.

Because the badassery and intimidation factor will outweigh the loss of depth perception?

I'm not buying it. I have a hard enough time picking up my drink with one eye closed, let alone parrying the blades of the maniacs who are trying to kill me with swords.

A good fighter fights by touch not sight.

Barbarians have blind fighting, why shouldn't swashes have eye-patched fighting?

Rutger could wear two patches and still slice your swashie... :)

I hear eye-patch bonus stacks with the ruffled shirt mod. :P
