I think I've said several times, including in this thread, that I'm not adding Orcs as a playable race. I can lock it now if you'd like?

Are you still open to the idea of other Races? If so, which races? If not, can we at least have this new language?

I already answered that. Go back and re-read the thread. This thread also has nothing to do with languages.

I'm not actually looking to ever add more races. If I were to add a race, it would have to be one that already has an ecological niche in the world and would not be actively shunned from most capitol cities for being uncivilized. Call me racist, but orcs don't meet the second criteria.

What race might meet this criteria? Off the top of my head? Merfolk. I suppose if you really wanted to do them as a race, one power of merfolk could be a partial polymorph to have scaled legs when on land.

/sigh

I generally dislike merfolk to be front and center in anything. They are a good side race but not main character. Unless the Merfolk in here have some awesome story behind it.

Hey, is there a place I could read up on SK lore?

By the way D, I did notice the bit of emotion in your comment, it's not that we don't appreciate what you've done in the game and this recent burst of activity, we really do. All games with forums have sections and threads of people venting ideas, most of them completely asstastic and terrible, sure, it's just another source of entertainment for those that enjoy the game. People love to do it, the League of Legends forums has a thread made for Champion suggestions where 99.9% of the ideas are never put into the game at all, I doubt that the developers even look at it because they already have a pretty solid idea of where they want the game to go, same goes for actually most other games.

In short, thank you for all you've done, and let me dream about orcs and swashbuckler being able to mitigate damage from some melee hits due to their high mobility which would result in grazing blows to make them on par with the heavy armor fighters, and knuckles that work with Fist skills since they are poo otherwise, or griffons that aren't [REDACTED] butterflies. Some of those ideas are terrible, sure, but it's fun to just throw it out there in the wind sometimes and see what people have to say about them.

I didn't read anything in this other the the first post, here's my two cents. Basically the player of Inzaarid used to ask for orcs as a playable race all the time (anyone remember Inzaarid?) and Dulrik always said that orcs/goblins are always going to be fodder races that never have an impact on shattered kingdoms like the playable races do. As far as I know Dulrik will not make these races playable. Myself I am completely and totally satisfied with what we have for races. I would prefer new classes to races. The races Dulrik has give us are awsome. I also don't think Orcs/goblins should be playable races.

If these races were to impact the game in a big way in my view it would be because they are being controlled by someone like saruman in lord of the rings. They wouldn't be anything special on their own.
