I have this problem and while at first I thought it was because I always rolled priest I seem to have this problem when I roll Hellions or bards and even more recently a shaman and Swash.

As I try to level, I always end up with this problem. At around Jman to Mentor I begin to get involved in RP that stalls my leveling. I try to avoid it, I try to concentrate on leveling but in the end I always end up being stalled on my road to leveling. As a solution to this, I believe once we have reached the Jman rank, we should automatically be level up to GM. This solution will help everyone, and I am sure no one would be opposed.

Thank you for you time.

Perfect. I think people should stall even sooner. If you are having fun RPing in the game, don't let something like leveling get in the way of that.

Except that RP of almost any sort makes your character susceptible to making enemies. Enemies that, shocker of all shockers, want you dead and don't care what level you happen to be.

I don't want auto-GM, but I don't think it's particularly wise to stall sooner than mentor.

Making enemies is more fun at lower levels IMO.

I almost always do it, but I don't know if it's more fun.

I am pretty sure that the correct way of playing SK is to create your character, plvl him to GM in 25 hours, and then join a faction. At this point, you are ready to find the most well equipped character of the enemy faction, kill him, and take his loot. Repeat this process with the enemy's second and third most well equipped characters.

At this point, your enemies will have stopped logging on, and you will pass the time by mastering all your skills and spells. Eventually, you will delete because there is nobody left to kill. Now, roll a character for the opposite side and kill off everyone on the side you were just playing on. Then quit SK in despair when everyone left in the game is neutral. I find this is the most fun way of playing the game.

Maybe it's because I almost always pick a religion to join. So when I see someone from that faith I send them a Tell to let them know I want to join. I do a little RP to join the church and I get asked about my back story. I explain my back story a bit and end up getting close to a faction or two threw the HF of the church. From there I pick a faction meet new people and get involved in a little more RP then I would like. Around this time I see someone else who is leveling while I try to level and get the first close friendship of my character. More RP ensues, usually involving other factions threw this new friend. I level to around mentor or master and more often then not that friend is deleted and I am left with RP from my own faction and those characters from my friends faction.

By the time I hit GM I have been playing well over 150-175 hours (I think I hit GM on my last priest at around 230hours).

Of my GM characters, only 1 was not Paragon before hitting GM. I actually find it more difficult to hit GM then Par, but then I suck at leveling and end up having to hide from enemies which slowdown my leveling.

1) Why is this in bug discussion?

2) At Baldric: So I am totally playing this game wrong :( I think you should take me on as a student. Although I should probably alias an emote along these lines " Thyki looks at you like you are speaking another language." or "Thyki stares at you glassy eyed, a little drool dribbling over her lips."

You just need to learn that RP is for wimps. I do not waste time RPing in online games or in real life. I spend most of my time in real life tackling people.

I thought this thread was going to give me directions to the Michigan Universities Coalition on Health, and I am pretty angry that there's absolutely nothing anywhere here indicating where they are located.
