Geesh. Change your tampon you grouch. I've been away from the game for a while. I didn't know players now get promoted to thread police, though the role has been taken by many time and time again. The forums are intended for discussion and your attitude doesn't contribute to an already divided gaming community. Ardith and Syndal are bad enough, why count yourself among the already poisonous cast that characterizes so much of what's wrong with SK?

OA:
TL:DR: Dont be a runt with a C.

--- to explain my initial inquiry --
I want to lure many NPCs from adjacent rooms and being dirt kicked disables my ability to target a NPC other than the one I am engaged in melee with. It does not seem so obvious to me why you cannot use an eye washer in the middle of combat if you can also quaff vials, brandish, zap, remove items, etc. Squirting water in my eye with something I am already holding should take less time than removing a suit of heavy armor - both acts which make little sense but either way the less logical one is somehow a capability while the other is not. Elves, dwarves, magic.. all fiction so entertaining the argument for what is "realistic" is redundant. I apologize. Stupid to even suggest.

However, a "shamanic" minotaur with scripted spirit aura makes sense if it's a shaman. If it's a scout capable of dirt kicking I don't really follow the builders logic or intent. The NPCs in this area are hardly used to contribute to leveling a char.. the real value being in the associated quests. I venture to guess that's what most people come to this area for. The xp gained from the minotaurs/treants runs out rather quick and time may be better spent exploring other quests, visiting undiscovered areas, or leveling elsewhere at this stage. Lest a character is able to damage many NPCs simultaneously with a skill or spell which drastically increases the effectiveness of leveling.

TL:DR Attacking many NPCs simultaneously is cool and not being able to target NPCs in adjacent rooms because of dirt kicking NPCs and eyeball washers that don't work during combat detracts from the list of cool things.

You are incorrect in one thing, this area is indeed heavily used for just leveling, not just the quest. Please do not assume because you are not using it as such others are not. I have never had a problem with this area, melee or as a sorc and I do not make use of eyewash save in pvp.

Not really broken so please do not have a fix to an area that is extremely useful. NPCs have often been cross classed, I dont see a problem with this area.

To the best of my knowledge, there's really no such a thing as an NPC warlock. A few NPCs once killed respawn with stone skin or elementals, but none cast warlock spells that I've seen, and yet a number are called warlocks.

(Why is that any way?)

I've seen NPCs cast conjure elemental before.

Shaman and warlock spells don't work properly on NPCs for some reason. Neither works without scripting. Hence, scouts scripted with SA and desc'd as shaman.

Eye washers were never intended to be used during battle. They are there to make things a bit less tedious if you survive your combat despite being blinded and want to quickly move on without waiting for the dirt to wear off.

I have a different issue with the valley of ashes. It isn't clear on who is dark and who is light aura, but if you accept the quest from the wrong side, you can't repent or change allegiances at all, so that you can correctly assist the side that you should if you are light/dark aura.

In what setting ever are treants evil?
