I think the fly penalty should be removed. What, like a master sorc isn't good enough to stabilize someone in flight and as if fighters don't practice flying combat? I think naturally flying races should be penalized if fighting in a windy area in flight without magical flight to help them stay in control.

Yeah I agree with the above two statements. And I think an additional penalty should be added to naturally flying races (griffons) when they are mounted because it's harder to move around with someone riding you.

I will go on record as saying that, in the future, you should be prepared to have more penalties while using the fly spell rather than less.
