I agree that there is a lot of mithril in the game.

There is however, not a single 'good' set of mithril (IC loot does not count, and that set isn't even a whole set either). Not one. The closest you will get is a certain Imperial themed set. But, if you actually pay attention to things, the like...sleeves, boots, and 2 other pieces of the set actually 'compare' as equal to brass armor and worse than other mithril.

I don't think there is a good set of mithril because it can be skinned and made into a good set of mithril, unlike ada.

Gathering and enchanting addy/diamond (most of which comes with great MP, or a great save) is very easy. Easy enough that I used to collect and enchant it as a hobby on Ealuriel.

Enchanting skins is a complete waste of time, and light armor with 1-2 MP on it does not offer much protection. 2-3 hours of effort (between skinning which fails a lot, and evapping a number of skins during enchanting), to get 1 skin that ends up with 2mp, 2 reflex, 2willpower, 1mr is ridiculous. And that's honestly about as good as I've ever seen a skin get.

Not to mention, skins are ugly!

You can get skins reskinned usually by a friendly IMM with some time on their hands if you ask nicely. I mean, I used to back in the day, so I don't know how it is now, but... yeah. Food for thought.

I would love an option when at the tailor to allow you to change the adjective and the description of the skin when it is being made into something.

Skins are, indeed, outrageously hard to get good enchants on. My kit admittedly sucks, and I need a tank and a priest to be able to get more worthwhile skins, which takes time. And then once I haul it all back, I need to make sure that the priest who came with me or some other enchanter is available and patient enough to deal with the effort of trying to get 4 decent enchants per piece, which is the best that I can reasonably hope for. If they're really bored and up for a struggle, I can sometimes get 5 or 6, but that's rare.

And yes, they are ugly. I wish that tailoring skins came with color coding options, and perhaps a little more variety than vest/leggings/bracers, etc. I realize that, of all the things that could be changed in the game, this would be nowhere near the top of the list. But someday, it'd be nice to see.

Light armor classes have dragonscale too ya know

Curious, are you having them enchant the skin before you tailor it or after? If I remember right, enchanting the skins before the tailoring is easier, for some reason, I don't know.

Getting dragonscale to work reasonably as a swashbuckler is too much of a bother.

I have it enchanted before tailoring, and the dragonscale items that I've either collected or skinned myself have either compared as the same as or worse than the mithril skins that I've got. When it comes to enchanting, they seemed to be equally difficult.
