From what I have seen about dragonscale is that it is only more durable than mithril, but worse ac.

What I would really like from skinning is the skins come with natural enchantments on it. Unique based on what animal they came from.

I think the point of skinning is to have a pretty much inexhaustible source of equipment. It is practically infinite, so coming with enchantments might not be a great idea.

I think that it takes longer to get skins than getting any other bit of EQ with an equally large or smaller party, so I would love to see them come with starting enchantments based on the NPC.

You can /summon/ NPCs with full suits of great MP or save addy/diamond and kill them with 1 pc. You can not get a mithril skin with 1 pc. Anywhere. It literally can not be done. Dragonscale skins /might/ be possible to get solo, but probably involves large usage of herbs/etc. Or cabal abilities.

Syn you newbie, I used to get mithril skins by myself all the time.

But I agree - it would be great to see 1) probability of successful skinning go up and 2) some starting enchants on skins, especially from particularly strong creatures. I don't know how easy this would be to do.

You can also summon a NPC that has greater mp mithril that 1 pc can kill.

I honestly can not think of any mithril that comes with greater mp (aside from 1 endgame area, and 3 pieces from another place), let alone that is summonable. I bow to your better knowledge.

Havent read all the posts, but the thrust idea sounds cool.

Like a swash stabs an arm or leg, impairing ability related to that limb for a few rounds, like a leg would stop bash or trip for a couple rounds, arm would slow attacks or shield blocks for a few rounds

There are two mithril skinned NPCs in an area in the empire. I had a scout in the druids. Know what I mean?
