There actually was a time when any weapon could be used for ambush. It still was not life threatening.

I guess depends on the caster, asthmatic necromancers with iron vulnerability maybe, but Jaro used giant sized arrows on Baba (granted, with sanc) and he was able to dance a jig and go get a sandwich before I got him down to half life. I think it was 20% on the ambush and then 5% a round, correct me if I 'm wrong Jhorleb!

I honestly think that has a lot to do with the fact that priests get shield block, so mood defensive with a shield really cuts down on arrow damage.

I don't remember that being with sanc, but it sounds about right. I'm not sure how much of that was shield block (he was neutral stance) and how much was energy armor, but arrows are laughable to priests with those kinds of preparations.

I can test it with my current priest with Iyvic and see how it goes if you want more conclusive evidence.
