Want another neat bug? Polymorph into any of the elementals (Air elemental, fire etc) you gain all their natural resistances, but you still get hungry..the catch is, elementals can't ingest water or food so you can't eat. (And yes, at GM polymorphing into a fire elemental does give you a lot of the resistances that a warlock's GM fire elemental has. It's awesome.)
Exactly. As an elemental you're inability to to ingest food and water should preclude hunger and thirst, but it doesn't (though I suspect this relates to the stats of non-playable races not transfering like the playable ones do). There are all sorts of other bugs related to polymorph such as losing innate infravision, though that can be solved by logging on and off. These are at least fairly easily shrugged off.
But age dying due to polymorphing is just dumb. Each race as its own strengths and weakness, but age can only be a strength when building a new char. The way it is now, the spell becomes less useful over time. People are rightly liking the idea of the 'Seasoned skill' has it gives some benefit to aging a melee char. But it makes sense for this spell to become more worthless as time goes on?
It's all the more hilarious that I did this as an RP bit rather than something to gain an advantage in battle, and thankfully the other PC was a priest. If it's a feature, its a dumb one. But at least its now somewhere on the record that polymorph isn't nearly as useful as it seems before someone gets themselves killed when it really counts.
