It isn't a brutal change. You make up for it by changing recall to include any owned pets when your pulse isn't racing.

You shouldn't be able to just undo a bad decision / be able to escape an entire group just because you quaffed one potion. The only problem is that doing this makes bash even better than it is.

You know you can stop word of recall with the curse spell. Just saying. Not my fault people don't value the spell.

While you are correct, for the most part the curse spell remains wildly unavailable to a large portion of the game. It's still ridiculously good, and a fringe-benefit counter to it doesn't make it any less good.

I don't think word of recall is overpowering at all, but this is an entirely different discussion than the original intent of this thread.

It's not about overpowering, it's about what the game is and how the dynamic in combat is like when it is such a viable (and necessary) option.
