No, you won because you were bashing a newb. This is kind of like how 3 warlocks can easily gank an AFK opponent.

Because the reason why you need bash to be that good is so that people can't quaff to safety, because quaffing to safety never fails unless you are cursed or homeless. For bash to get worse, quaffing to safety has to go, otherwise the amount of kills that actually occur is going to drop.

People can quaff double heals to safety too you know.

Don't get me started on quaffing.

I'm just saying, there's much more to bash than just keeping someone from wording out.

There is so much more to it, which is why I don't understand why it's an amateur level skill. Lowers accuracy, locks you in combat, prevents spells, prevents fleeing, prevents quaffing, prevents most other aggressive actions (scrolls, staves, blitzkrieg, dirt, headbutt, etc) massive command lag.. etc etc.

Wtf is going on here. I don't get it and no one has explained why.

Why is this so hard to understand? If you don't want to be bash-locked, then don't stand on the front row.

The game is supposed to be drifting AWAY from NPC wars, which is why I don't understand why one skill is SO good it requires you to have a pet of some sort in front of you 24/7 in order to survive combat.

You don't have to have a pet in front of you to survive combat: You have to have a pet in front of you to survive getting surprise ganked, kind of like how you have to have a pet behind you in order to avoid getting surprise backstabbed or how you have to be flying to avoid getting surprise tripped.

Or you can have a pet behind you and order a rescue, as has been pointed out.
