hi

for many years i used this command at the shops to 'list' multiple items with that string in the argument

for example with this shop:

[ 1] An engraved silver wristband - a brand new medium silver treasure
    Price: 2 platinum, 1 gold, 1 silver, 5 copper (+3% sales tax). 

[ 2] An engraved silver neck chain - a brand new medium silver treasure
    Price: 2 platinum, 5 gold, 3 silver, 2 copper (+3% sales tax). 

[ 3] A pair of engraved silver anklets - a brand new medium silver armor
    Price: 2 platinum, 8 gold, 5 silver, 6 copper (+3% sales tax). 

[ 4] A griffon-sized engraved silver sash - a brand new large silver armor
    Price: 2 platinum, 4 gold, 4 silver, 8 copper (+3% sales tax). 

[ 5] A silver griffon wristband - a brand new large silver treasure
    Price: 1 platinum, 8 gold, 3 silver, 6 copper (+3% sales tax). 

[ 6] A small pair of engraved silver anklets - a brand new small silver armor
    Price: 2 platinum, 8 gold, 5 silver, 6 copper (+3% sales tax). 

[ 7] A large engraved silver neck chain - a brand new large silver treasure
    Price: 2 platinum, 4 gold, 4 silver, 8 copper (+3% sales tax). 

if i typed in list wrist, it used to return #1 and #5 available for purchase

now if i type in list wrist it just says you can't buy anything here

the command was really helpful to look up pants and all kinds of things, i don't know when exactly this went away

is it an intended change or a bug

I honestly don't remember any such changes. I can guarantee it's been the current way for at least two years. Perhaps you were thinking of another mud? You can currently filter the list by item type such as armor, weapon, scroll, etc.

i started playing only SK since the end of era of Heroes, i remember seeing Lorias on the who list as Hero, and some notable characters such as Arkania, Olrin, Santosh, Viltrax, etc.

i am very positive list pants for example used to return all the different pants in a shop

it's alright, it was just something nice to have

Min, I got your back. Yes, you used to be able to do that and simplify your search by typing list dagger, and you'd see only the daggers. Since the changes to list via number, you can no longer do it. I used to love typing "list whatever" in those stores with a huge inventory and narrowing it down.

thanks! and yeah i spent the last 12 hours or so double checking this with myself

i am sure this used to be available, this was especially useful in pawn shops where we could "list mithril" to see all the mithril for sale
