Yeah, whatever object limiting code change went in either totally messed up some stuff, or revealed a lot of other code errors. Now stuff just randomly disappears whenever you die. Someone else had his container vanish when he died today as well, and I'm pretty sure that the container (moonlight robes) is unique.

Maybe that's what happened to all their loot.

I am continuing to investigate the problem. Having trouble duplicating any of this behavior on the test site.

Here's two scenarios that come to mind as suggestions:

-Give someone/some PCs a full suit of silver-gilt gear up until there's only 1 suit (or 1 incomplete suit) left on the limit. Log the PCs out, kill the NPC and see if a full suit spawns, log a PC back in, then kill that NPC.
-Find a unique container, fill it with junk (atleast 25+ lines of junk, and money), give it to a PC with a full kit of armor, and have it be a PC that requires STR mods to be able to hold the container, and kill it. (IE, PC needs 18 strength to carry all the stuff, and needs mods to get to 18).

Basically, everybody should probably avoid dying for the time being.

So, did this change item limits or just change how they were enforced?

The stuff this bug took did not respawn after the reboot.

Got your PM. Actually that item HAS re-loaded into the game. I'm guessing you are being tripped up by another unannounced bugfix.

Locate item when used via item was being cast at the level of the wielder. It has been fixed to be cast at the level of the spell in the item. This means you will need to get players to locate high level items for you instead of relying on more easily found scrolls and wands.

I'm a GM paladin with infravision and detect invis. Could there be another unintended side affect on locate object? Or, it could well be something with me...
