Which would you whine about more: being able to get a new suit of top tier armor in 5 minutes, or getting gang-raged and spawn-camped by 10 tanso wearing players because you're hording the few instances of top tier armor?

I think SK's tried the latter approach and there's a reason armor is more prevalent.

I'm in the inclination that there should only be 3 suits of top-end AC in the entire game. Everyone else can wear store-bought tanso and realize that the end result is the same - everyone that has interest in PKing has the same armor as you. It's the same exact result, whether you want to lower the bar or raise it is just a matter of opinion.

I think scripts on gear are infinitely more problematic than having top-tier AC.

Armor should be more prevalent: some people in the 99% should be able to have nice things.

Also, the "overabundance" is symptomatic of lower numbers. If we want to encourage growth, we shouldn't be restricting the number of available nice things.

Everyone has gone way off topic here. This is suppose to be about the panthiest armor. Before the code update about protection there was nothing wrong. Now only those that follow a religion are allowed the protection spell, so therefore it makes sense that the panthiest armor should get something else since those that can wear it wont be allowed the benefit of protection which it gives. All that needs to be done is change the spell that it gives. Not that effin hard. Its made for a shaman, spriits swarm out from each peice as you wear it. Just fix the damn armor already.

And... it's... it's gone.

The point of sacred equipment was, literally, one way to give people an incentive to join a religion over staying out of one for spirit aura (which is a seriously nice thing to have, brewed or not).

That line has become a lot more blurred since now protection can only be used for people in religions. Now there is little to no gameplay incentive for non-front rank characters not to join a religion.

You might as well stop harping about it, because it's not going anywhere. If anything, it'll become more difficult to get -- and that's about it.
