This isn't true. Sithara persuaded a GM necro to disband his group, which led to him being roflbashed and dying. Wish I still had a log of that.

Pretty sure persuade has been nerfed since then. Lynard spent hours trying to make it work on baba even with no enchants and they never landed. I think it had to do with charm code changing.

Persuade is really one of the most useless skills a bard gets. If there are any more changes to what NPCs can cast it will have ZERO use.

Semi-recently after about a half-dozen tries, I was able to get a gm dwarf, to do some emote. Anyone PC under GM works most of the time. On NPC's it blows, and I have only gotten two ticks into superb from the nearly hundred times I have tried it with my halfling with max cha. On NPC's anything beyond master ranked, is nigh impossible (not saying it could be done, just saying that over the dozen times I have tried it, I failed).

Success Rate is horrid, NPC spells are being gimped not sure what it will be useful for after the changes.

I was deifinitely disappointed when I tried to bre harm potions the first time. There's really no reason these shouldn't be brewable.

Why not allow debuff vials to be thrown (ie. grenades) at an enemy? Perhaps the strongest ones as an enemy group affect?

Yeah, persuade has changed since then. While it is awesome that there is a chance it can land, it, like songs of dancing as well, will 99% of the time be resisted by anyone with even a sliver of willpower. You almost have to have your target have 0 willpower and naive wisdom for it to actually work or severely out level them. That's why I've advocated that it should be changed to have a non hostile action.

I mean, a while back someone suggested it have a critical failure and the NPC attack, that I'd be okay with, but in it's current form it's near useless except for collecting buffs. That's still powerful but still..
