Lighty priests are easier than darkie priests but as has already been said all you need a polemace and cure light. If you don't have a polemace then all you need is a mace and copper armor from Nerina, or dragonscale from Morea...you can walk in and just pick it out of a crate and it protects wonderfully.

How many times do people have to be told that using a polemace is an ABSOLUTeLY HORRIBLE idea??? I mean seriously.

Get newb staff in newb area. If available ask local tribunal char to have a NPC encasing it real quick. C armor self. C bless. Cure light in between rounds as needed. Reach jman in 4 hours. Proceed as normal.

Melee with a priest isn't terrible at all for the lower levels. I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that there are at least two areas with pro-xp undead that incur minimal hp loss. Flamestrike is really only good with areas that have groups, of which I can probably think of one. SoF is when the leveling really kicks up a notch.

Which is pretty much what I said in the second part of my post...Polemaces make things easier because they give you an option to be behind a pet, which in a place like the bakemono caves is where you want to be if you're leveling with flamestrike. Casting flamestrike on a target over and over can easily get you killed especially in areas where NPCs with the same keywords wander around. All in all using a polemace is not a "HORRIBLE" idea.

Polemaces are great. I also level with a spear/etc on melee classes from behind a pet.

At lower levels, I feel polemaces are kind of a waste. IMO, you're better off with a staff/flail(antiparry). They hit harder and are more accurate.

These Arguments and opinions are all well and good, but I gave up this class, so no need to continue.
