Perhaps a melee weapon that can hit ethereal objects? Eliminates the potential for a guy just shooting an eth sorc with arrows... Just a thought.

I actually think it's an interesting idea. Rather than a pill for etherealform, it's a weak weapon that must remain in your hands that turns you ethereal (ala ether wire). If it were nosave and given just one or two charges, it would be the same thing as selling a pill but would prevent people from using it to range kill sorcs.

If anything, it's less detrimental to sorcs than starting to sell ethereal pills...

Ethereal shouldn't be a complete safe zone from 90% of the mud. Which it is right now.

You shouldn't be able to sit in the inn ethereal and go "lulz, nobody can kill me".

I say add pills.

Pills were added eons ago, twice, then removed each time because of 'balance issues.'

Remove eth wands, issue resolved!

The only people who sit in an inn ethereal and think they're safe are newbs. Besides, no one can "sit" around ethereal except for sorcerers anyway.

Or, make weapons imbued with dispelling properties! Imagine the whine fests THAT would create!

Do it! Please?!

Or weapons with an Arcane damage type, ethereal people will be struck with the arcane damage portion but not the physical. So half damage.

D&D fixes this with ghost touch weapons

Maybe we need ghost touch weapons that do 1/4 damage to ethereal
