I don't see anything in here that rationalizes shamans getting a more powerful elemental spell than warlocks or getting to control weather? Shamans deny Gods but get a better ability granted to them than what warlocks get from Yed? Why anyone would choose a warlock over a shaman is beyond comprehension.

Maledictions v. Shocking Grasp/Burning Hands/Lightning Bolt
Spirit Aura v. Conjure Elemental
Call Lightning v. Chain lightning
Heal v. Healing Rays
Voodoo v. Magma spray
Word of recall v. flee
Spirit Horde v. Earthquake

In every aspect shamans are better. Offensively, defensively, as healers, in PvE. Not to mention shamans get dispel magic which completely screws any warlock.

Call lightning receives an incredible boost by changing the weather. Why doesn't magma spray? Or cone of cold? Or why aren't elementals given a boost when its windy (air), hot (fire), raining (water), or dry (earth). Completely absurd that a god-denying class gets elemental powers that supersede an elemental-worshiping class.

TL;DR. Shamans are OPd. Warlocks still suck. QQ.

Warlocks can change the weather to make call lightning useless, and call lightning can't be used indoors.

Also, at least shamans are terrible against MR barbs lololol

Warlocks most definitely do not still suck. And Voodoo isn't even comparable to magma.

You're right, because voodoo is so much better. Spirit aura negates voodoo, RE negates magma. Yet, the power of voodoo is entirely determined by the shaman him/herself and can be cast from anywhere in the game, instantly finding the target and does maledictions in addition to massive damage (no doll required). A shaman with a scrap mana kit and no doll can drop most casters.

Edoras - the point is that shaman's shouldn't even have either of those spells. maledictions + heal + SA + sanc + SH + voodoo isn't powerful enough?

Magma ignored MP and MR, Voodoo only ignores MR. Voodoo also leaves you open for gate ganks. RE isn't nearly as available as spirit aura is to people outside the class. Voodoo more or less sucks against any race with protection and/or sanc and/or innate MP. Magma has no problem with this.

In addition, the only elemental spell is something the warlock can negate rather easily. The shaman cannot negate anything the warlock has without scripted RE gear, and even then, magma isn't completely useless against RE'd people. Healing Rays is an amazing healing spell. More spammable and much less mana costly than mass healing. The ability to have an elemental and a pet over just a pet should not be dismissed so easily just because your elemental has been dispelled. I'll not argue that point, because I honestly don't know if elementals were made harder to dispell or not. Warlocks get pretty beastly AoE affects that a shaman can only have if no one [REDACTED] with their weather.

I really don't know where you come from saying warlocks suck.

Voodoo kind of sucks unless you are using it against those with no idea what they are doing/no enchants. It also leaves you prone and open to gates for quite a bit.

Also my voodoo dolls just up an vanished so that makes voodoo suck even more.

Warlocks get two walls of meatshields, wands, staves, and quite a few very nice room smacking spells. RE is no longer brewable while spirit aura is .

Learn to play your class.

I can also say my shaman gets hammered by magic spells even though I have enchants against them.

AoE is great except you hurt yourself and your allies in the process.

And being able to damage an entire group of enemies (severely) is, in my opinion, better than having to inflict damage on yourself and party members.

Don't know why this is bug forum. If you only want to hurt an opposing group, there is cone of cold and can reach across a room.

He does make a good point, thematically it doesn't make sense. Just rename the spell to "spirit rain" and call it a day.
