They cannot be cancelled, they can be dispelled. Holy word dispels.

A dark aura holy word will cast dispel on all light-auras and cancellation on all dark-auras.

Cancellation can get rid of a charm spell.

I don't know why you would contradict me when you could just be taking notes.

Ah yeah, I remember now. Cancellation does work, but remove compulsion works 100 times better.

Yep, and that's what'll keep happening. It's one of the downsides to playing an extraordinarily powerful class.

This was a thing. It still is a thing.

Want to buff elementals and make the other ones more useful? Make fire dmg heal fire elementals, cold damage heal frost elementals, air (lightning) damage heal air elementals, earth dmg heal earth elementals. Kinda like negative dmg heals undead.

Or make the dispelling of the elemental go off users will

This entire thread is everyone telling a select few that elementals don't really need buffs. The only thing that possibly needs adjustment is making all elementals more or less equally useful at GM. Elementals don't need to be harder to dispel, and they most certainly don't need the ability to be healed by <insert your choice of Warlock AoE>, that's where using the elemental that is immune to <insert your choice of Warlock AoE> comes into play. If you want to heal your elemental, that's what healing rays is for.

I didn't care much about this thread, until I read Kin's comment about scouts getting a new pet.

Scouts must hide for 10 minutes while they spam trying to tame the animal, Kin, so that was a pretty laughable assertion.

Maybe that's why Dulrik makes it take so damn long to tame a pet.

 I've spent a whole in game day trying to tame a pet a few times.

omg, I would so much rather have a sorc or a warlock with dispellable/cancellable pets than a scout's pet. Unless tame changes, I will never roll a scout. Tame is seriously ridiculous and the class's buffs aren't worth the hassle of finding and wasting time trying to tame a pet.
