Once the special prayer of Zavijah runs out, you get hit with fatigue. Now I'm curious as to why only the clergy avoid this penalty, but not also the Zavijahn faithful? I would really think that all Zavijahns should be able to avoid this penalty and it should only apply to those not of the flock.

It's like this for any religion stat buff spell, the most prominent one coming to mind being Nashira's.

Yeah, I was wondering about that one too. There's no reason it should come with a penalty for the faithful.

Yes there is.

You already get enough benefits for joining a religion.

Honestly, I think it should fatigue the priests, too.

Sorcs get fatigued by haste/gs.

Aside from the sacred armor, and the minor buff from the symbol, the only people who benefit from joining a religion are priests, since they gain the religion spell. Incidentally, Fear has a pretty nasty one, if someone wants to be my new rezbot. Hellions are able to access their full spell list by joining a religion, but that's all they get, and any religion will activate the exact same spells, with no real variation. I can't see any other benefits from non-cleric classes, beyond providing a ready network of allies, and some decent RP if you have good HFs, and an active Imm.

Uh, you get protection, which is way better than SA.

Protection is not -way- better than SA, although in general it's better for casters as SA only helps against physical damage.

There's actually quite a few holes in spirit aura that protection actually protects from.
