Actually while CRS was a contributing factor to the lower standards for cabal membership, Salak was the first leader at that time to practice the "quantity over quality" approach to cabal membership. While there was a lot of epic characters that came out of the cabal at that time, there was easily a 5:1 membership ratio in comparison to any other cabal and there was certainly not a single moment when there would be less than 10 Harles on at any time because he was a pretty charismatic leader that people felt they could rally behind.

While I do realize that things would have gone this way eventually regardless, it certainly gave everyone else incentive to lower their induction standards as well just to be able to keep up with the sheer amounts of fodder he had to throw at people.

I would endorse cabunals for everything but the harlequins, who would obviously not respect the ability to order others, negating the need for leadership.

Once again, the cabal members don't sit in the Inns that often, because they are 3rooms from being ganked. Deflag how close they can open a gate, or better make towns not gateable, and I guarantee that people will hang out at the Inns again

Being able to sit and RP no matter how 'hated' your character is will only happen in an ideal world.

I have posts making accusations that I'm doing very naughty things because I can't enter towns, sit in inns or anything else because of being hunted so I sit in as remote a location as I can and I have a couple of people who will come sit and talk to me. So what? Am I just supposed to delete my character and start anew? Or am I just not supposed to RP with anyone?

You guys are saying that anyone who wants to avoid PK can..but you're claiming that you can't have any nice armor or anything else. You are forgetting one important aspect, "You can't anger a vet!!!"

Well, I did. And the price I pay for it is PKs, being hunted down in the most remote locations, being accused of doing things because I am RPing with someone, and generally wondering if it is worth bothering with. Characters are ignoring things that they wouldn't because of who plays a particular character. I can gaurantee if my Lightie picked up a necromantic staff and used it, a certain merc would have every lightie hunting her. Heck, said merc hunted down and killed someone else for spitting at a person. Yet this merc doesn't care that someone is using evil to fight evil. Why? Again, has to do completely with players.

It's pretty easy to sit and RP, even if you are pub enemy #1. I've done it plenty.

It's also pretty easy to get out of getting curbstomped, if you really want. That's not going to happen when people refuse to RP and insist on playing billy badass despite getting curbstomped, though.

Also, no, it has nothing to do with the player, it has to do with what else the character does. For example, your lightie does nothing and is also a follower of Aludra. So yes, if you just randomly up and brandished an evil stave, you'd probably get a lot more [REDACTED] over it than a lightie shaman (who learns things like curse, you know).

And yes, it has every bit to do with players. Proof is in your posts because when you couldn't destroy my character IC, you went OOC. You posted on these forums and others, making vividly false claims that were considered IC information. You have been trying to curbstomp my character repeatedly with one after she nearly took out your other. Oopsie...did I mention that?

Fact of the matter is, no, I can't just sit some where. You've proven that. You've shown up in remote locations to try to PK her when she was doing such harmful things as...enchanting, regrouping, talking to a member of her faith, and PK'd her for simply walking around naked after the first gank.

You could go a long way and have more consideration for the permanewbs, newbs, and RPers who don't want to be involved in your gank squads. You don't have to WIN the game each time.

I have -NEVER- complained about being PK'd because I expect it. However, I do expect there to be some RP behind it/with it, especially for first meetings. And there is a difference between someone who is actively causing issues and one who is avoiding issues. I was avoiding issues, avoiding cities, avoiding people, etc and it was you who decided that you were going to go out of your way to gank. You are the issue. You create your own monsters and then complain when they speak up against your love.

So please, stop acting like people can sit around and RP when you and others will go out of your way to hunt them just because. You drew her back in and now she is more active. You created the issue, stop acting like I did.

To quote your buddy Dralan, if you have nice things expect to be PK'd. Stop giving nice armor to newbies like Kougyoku and he won't get PK'd for it.

Also, I'm pretty sure that we both know she plays support in group PKs and she does have an IC reason to attack him if she wants.
