I like how because I'm not raising a pitchfork to Syn, I'm her buddy. I'm friendly with her on an OOC level, sure, but that doesn't mean I am going to approve of everything she does ICly or OOCly. Just like Imperialbabble or whatever his name showed, this kind of stuff happens all the time on both sides. I am not saying she did the right call, I'm just saying it's ridiculous at the amount of OOC traction this gets when any other time it's handled ICly. I'll be anyone's buddy outside of the game, because I can't honestly think of one player I actually hate. I've called her out several times in the past, ICly and OOCly.

It's not so much "She is my buddy, she can do no wrong!" but more of a "[REDACTED] happens, why does it only matter when player XXX does it?"

There was a time when I would have said this idea was unnecessary, silly even. I've been thinking about it for the past hour or two though and I don't see what it would hurt, frankly. I've seen more people leave the MUD from being hunted and harassed lately and in recent years. The thought that people can RP without being constantly hunted and killed just isn't true. I've had trouble even levelling.

What really would be the downsides to this idea? Hoarding? Inactivity? It's not going to make those things any worse. In fact, it might bring the guilty parties out into the open.
