As a guy who plays a lot from telnet that I sort of disagree with that. It would be nice to fix the shorthand.

Yeah, I would say that's important enough to fix in the code. Changing between clients, or using different computers/phones shouldn't put you at risk of trying to retire when you just need to retreat. There are some spells that clearly have taken out of alphabetical order so that typing a shortcut when casting doesn't actually default to the spell that it should ( and I'm not talking about weird spells that are still in the game but no longer used), so it shouldn't be a problem to do.

Can we get the title of this thread renamed to "The Death of 'Ret' As We Knew 'Im"?
