Should fading restore items to their default endowments?
Yes, I want the innate endowments to stay when fading. 76%  76%  [ 45 ]
No, I prefer fading to continue to wipe all endowments. 24%  24%  [ 14 ]

I voted yes. I think people tend to junk items when they fade. Maybe slightly increase the chance of exploding and slightly reduce the chance of fade-to-original to keep it balanced?

I voted No for the following reasons:

1) Fading helps remove the innate magical properties such as an Aura_only flag, or some innate enchantment that you dont want but the item is important. There are some items that are a single aura only and there is NOT an equivalent in another aura.

2) Sometimes, this is the only way an item changes hand. Someone fades the item, junks it and someone else happens to get to the item first and grabs it.

Fading and exploding means that people are more likely to junk an item and it can end up in someone else's hands.

I voted no as well. I agree with NativeWolf on this one, there are x, y, z reasons that someone might want an item faded.

I will add that although rare (given most builder's desire to create l33t gear), there are some items with negative innate bonuses (aka penalties) and that you wouldn't be able to get rid of these via fading either.

Then again, I still don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. Just throwing it out there for consideration.

A necessary evil. I've seen some of this armor, and some are very cute! I may have to approach a builder or pester you yourself for a shop of cute plain-clothes stuff!

I voted yes. I think this would be a HUGE help to removing "negative" down-time. While I personally loved sitting with random gear playing lottery enchanting, I always -hate- sitting around waiting on that last piece of gear, or waiting on that 1 thing that I need enchanted to respawn over and over. This would leave evaporating as potential item-loss risk, but take away a significant portion of the pain.

Removing fading for zappies is a curious side-effect, but I don't think it hurts the game as much as making fading return things to innates would help (actually I think it's cool to get zappies in the hands of the chars they're intended for, darkies w/paladin shields and lighties w/samtavans just wasn't meant to be).

Voted yes. Reduction of time-sink and mindless, thumb-twiddling downtime is always good.

Removing zappy auras probably shouldn't be possible anyways, so I don't see the loss of that as anything particularly terribad.
