A sacred shield should not crumble when you have it on your inventory and you are the rightful owner of it (same religion).

A sacred shield should not be sitting in the inventory of someone who respects his religion!

For realz! If you're not using it, don't hoard it! My two previous religions were Yed/Mira so I know what a hassle it is to get back to certain places if your gear crumbles, but the idea is that you have to be wearing it in order to own it!

But is a shield/weapon a different thing? You won't always want to use a shield because sometimes it is appropriate to use a two hander. Same with a weapon. Sometimes it is more appropriate to use a different weapon, but you still want the option of going back to your sacred weapon/shield later on when that becomes the more optimal choice.

I'm just afraid it would lead to more hoarding issues. Like maybe you want to use your religion's sacred weapon, but only once in a while - well, what if someone else in your church would prefer to use it as their main weapon? I just feel like you shouldn't have it if you're not going to use it consistently, and you should have to choose about the drawbacks of wearing one shield/weapon a majority of the time. Besides, if you're only using a different weapon for a few minutes, it shouldn't crumble immediately. I have had to remove and wear my sacred armor to "refresh" the timer when I'm doing something like wearing heavy armor to master a spell. You just have to remember to do it. Could even make an alias for it.

Then again, Sadr's crappy sacred weapon is a WHIP that no one can use (ever heard of a Sadr bard? especially since there are no deep-elf bards!!) so maybe I just can't empathize.

I do know that it can get frustrating to only be able to wield the sacred weapon, and any time you unwield it there is a chance that it will crumble. Even on my current, Rhauijin, I was using the sacred baxe for awhile and there was at times I needed to use a reaching weapon and had to keep re-wielding the axe every once in awhile to make sure it didn't crumble. It is a bit annoying and would be nice if it wouldn't crumble when it's in your inventory.

Your argument isn't really valid, Jennbo. If someone was wanting to hoard a sacred weapon/shield, they're going to hoard it anyways. They could just wield it when they aren't doing something, and even if it crumbles they could regather it. I know this has been the case with the bandalore on several occasions with people having it when it didn't really benefit them at all, just to have it.

Hoard? Hardly.

I am OBLIGED to sit on second row with my shield on instead of my pole-arm because of this. It is just not right.

Edit; mundufisen said it all about hoarding. Someone who wants to hoard it will do it as crumble will not stop him.

I agree with the guys: Sacred armor should crumble on a timer when it's not with someone of the faith and left on the ground but the inventory shouldn't really count. I think it'd be wicked [REDACTED] if it crumbled immediately upon being touched by someone not actually in the religion, too.

IMO... The actual non-shield armor pieces should still be crumble when not worn. Weapons/shields should not crumble if they are in the inventory of an appropriate faith member. The Zavi weapon, for instance, is good and all but you are not always want to have a xbow wielded. If you are sitting in an inn, a regular shield/weapon is better, to help reduce the damage of zerg attacks.

Not a bug.

Do not ask me how many times I lose track of the holy weapon when I forget to take the pen off.

At least it's not too much of a pain to recover.
