This enchantment would decrease the weight of the armor it is cast on by z% times the number of runes.

Not sure if this would would make things too complicated in terms of enchantments but could possibly help larger races deal with weight from geometrically armor weight increases.

When you enlarge armor, you make it heavier at the same time. Ahem...

So, you're suggesting a spell that depletes the weight value of clothing, light armor and heavy armor. Maybe weapons as well...

Your goal with this spell, and its effects, over all, isn't to make heavy armor wearable or acceptable by cloth/light armor classes, but to make said armor/clothing/weapon "lighter", thus allowing the character to carry or wear more weight?

I like it~♫

Smoochy... no, I mean the physical weight. If you are a dwarf merc, you can easily wear all hvy armor and still possibly be under the magic 50% threshold for dodge. While if you a giant merc, you a extremely lucky to even hold a bottle of water, let alone things that are useful if you are in a full ada suit. As discussed in a previous thread.
