Dulrik, how sure are we that Armor Protection enchants actually function properly against magical-damage type attacks?

It's kind of hard to test these things as a player.

I know AP and stone skin are two completely different things, but I'm curious then how deadly (or maybe holy, I can't remember) wrath completely bypasses stone skin and yet is reduced by AP rather than MP.

Pretty much what you said. They are two different things and are applied in different layers of the damage processing code. By the time AP is applied, the damage amount has been finalized and the damage type no longer matters. The only thing it cares about is that it's a number that is being applied to an armor location.
