ANYWAY - Dulrik a question related to the content, and by the way THANK YOU for the work, I know your playerbase is actually greatful ;)

I'm curious about the pole arm change. Why does melee fighting stop when you unwield a pole arm? Is that a ranged combat change? Or would that be true if someone was in the front line too?

I apologize. I was diagnosed at a young age with Chronic Rage Syndrome. It's hard to keep in check when I see mass volumes of stupid.

Chaining effects = Are effects that are single target that chain to another single target.

Depending on how it is actually coded/flagged they can be two completely different things. I will refrain from flaming you. In that I had to rewrite this several times to pull out the flames.

Class dismissed.

Umm, in SK Chain lightning is an AoE spell. It affects everyone in the room at the same time in a single spell. That is pretty much the Definition of AoE.

If that is true thank you, but in terms of what is considered an AoE in almost every other game, I don't want to assume that it applies here. In fact, most games, chains are NOT AoE, they are multiple single target effects. I didn't know game-wise if chain-lighting had the same flags as call lightning (which is AoE).

If Syndith wasn't raging on that other site about how he got smacked down for bad rp, he could have answered, "In SK chain effects are still considered AoE." Then again, I think that is too much to ask from Syndith.

There is no need to apologize to me, I've not been insulted, I was only trying to help everyone save a little face. In fact there there is no to respond at all (no one person is guilty here) especially if you've a diagnosed rage problem. That above all else should be something you perhaps flag to other players so that they have a greater empathy to your responses. But be that as it may, (and this applies to other people on the forum as well) you may want to challenge yourself to not rise to the baits people make. Not for their sake, but for your own.

Umm, I think you must have chain lightning and call lightning mixed up or something. Chain lightning is more of an AoE spell than call lightning is.

Like color spray or spells of this sort, Call lightning is used on groups (Group spell). Chain lightning hits everyone in the area (AoE).

I am actually coming to the defense of good ol' Muktar here. The term may not be "chain effect spell", but they do exist. I am sorry, but I'm going to have to use WoW in my examples, so bear with me.

Cone of Cold hits a certain area in front of the Mage in WoW. AoE.

Some healers have a spell that is targeted for a single person, and then jumps to the next person nearest to them, and then again, up to like 5 times or more. "chained effect spell"

His logic is solid. He just didn't know. In SK, there would be almost no way to properly code a "chained effect spell". How would you determine distance between characters? I suppose it could just be random, but I don't think many people would be interested in using a spell such as that. Seems most want it to do massive damage to one person, or adequate damage to everyone.

Thank you, if it was explained like that, I would have left it alone. Not sure what it is called either, I think different systems calls it different things.

lol, if you want to bring WoW into the conversation and try to prove facts with that...Chain lightning in wow, which is pretty much set up the same way as it is in SK, is an AoE spell.

That is not even what I was trying to point out. I was enlightening everyone else of the type of spell Muktar was talking about. Back the [REDACTED] up dude.

Also, no! You're completely wrong.

http://www.wowhead.com/spell=421/chain-lightning

Read the description. It hits one person, then jumps to a nearby person. There is no certain area. The area can grow or shrink depending on how close the enemies are to each other. It hits one person, then it looks for a nearby enemy and hits them. When you cast it in game, you select a target, and fire. It goes to that target, then does it's thing. A mage has Blizzard, and when it is cast, a huge circle glyph shows up under your mouse for the area you want to cast it on. That's area of affect. Now, kindly, back the hell off.

Back the [REDACTED] up? Wow, I was proving a point by using simple facts. "Chained" spells are AoE, on every game. It's not a whole seperate type of spell group. If it affects an area, or people in an area itt is an AoE spell. No matter if it chains, bounces, hops, you put it on the ground, shoot it in a cone infront of you or however else you can affect a certain area.
