The Road of Prosperity

I was unable to reproduce. Next time please include your formation information. I am assuming the pegasus was running out of movement here, but having the formation info would be more definitive. Since it's flying, falling should not have been a problem.

I dismounted and kept traveling which usually happens when the mount's PE is too low to continue into the next room. Going back, a player typically finds their mount resting.

This mount had enough PE to keep following me though. I just got back on and kept going. Dismounted for no apparent reason.

Yes, that's what I find inexplicable. You should only get that message if the mount was not able to join you in the next room. Yet then it did anyway.

I've seen that happen once or twice. I always assumed it was because the mount didn't have enough PE to carry its rider to the next room, but did have enough PE to make it to the next room if it didn't have a rider (assuming mounts do use up more PE when mounted than when unmounted).

That's actually a pretty good guess. I'd have to double-check, but I'd bet it will turn out to be true. If so, I don't think it's really worthy of a fix.

Strange that he could re-mount, though, and continue (I missed that part in first read). Might be something with windy weather also.

If that is the case, could it be changed to something like "Your mount is too tired" instead of auto dismounting?

Eh, I'd like it to stay as is. If you're running away from your worst nightmare and fleeing to save your very soul, I could see you on a mount just bolting through the pastures and hilltops, and your mount slows down. Jump off that [REDACTED] and RUN!

It's a bit more complicated, but if you're in walk or jog speed (I don't know the mount equivalent words  ), display the "Your mount is too tired." message, but if you're in run speed, just dismount and leave it.
