This is probably true, as this is what caused me to say 'hey wait a minute' and start this thread in the first place.

Maybe a nicer solution would be to give everyone lighten load though. But I guess that would promote hoarding into the next level :p

I'd rather just see all the enchanting/consecrating options combined and given to both sorcerers and priests. Since this looks like going "backward" vs. what's been implemented and Dulrik doesn't like undoing things, this will probably never happen. It's just that with a relatively small player base, it ends up being pretty hard to find people to do your enchanting for you, even the minor stuff.

Also, I love the fact that we can now enchant for stats in terms of newbie/lowbie help. But it would be better if the helper could assist across the stat spectrum rather than just with three.

Not going to "undo" because that was the specific purpose of the design. Tons of utility were already gained from the new endowment system. I specifically wanted to make you need to rely on more than one other person (or at least one other person if you have an endowment spell) to have everything at your disposal.

Statistically speaking, there were very few heavy armor priests prior to this change. It had become a real problem for all heavy armor faiths. Whether it was true or not, the benefit of heavy armor was not seen as a big enough trade-off to the penalties involved. Also from a RP-perspective, lighten load made the most sense as a spell that heavy armor faiths would learn. If lighten load is too boss, we can certainly tweak to make sure that the decision to use it or not use it is a tactical decision.

Heavy armor is not really a benefit, other than that it gives you access to a broader range of armors to enchant. A priest getting hit is a priest doing it wrong.

I don't think we need to remove lighten load. Maybe we add it to the light armor priests also. Cloth armor priests get the very cool remove compulsion prayer (one of my favorite in the game).

I don't think all cloth armor priests get remove compulsion, at least I haven't seen it on my list. But then I don't know if there are things that will appear later.

Remove compulsion, like lighten load for heavy armor priests, doesn't appear on the list until you train it. Pretty sure it's an expert level spell, which can be a bit of a nuisance for a priest that tries to train it early and costs themselves a half level of XP by accident. It will show up once you find a trainer for it in-game and learn it, however.

Wa ... wa? Are there other spells/skills like this that you can train that you don't know about?

Light armor priests tend to have the best religious spells.
