Actually while CRS was a contributing factor to the lower standards for cabal membership, Salak was the first leader at that time to practice the "quantity over quality" approach to cabal membership. Sorry for bring back and old thread. I remember those days. I am actually the person that Played Naden. I also have an active player on here. Nadan was a tank back in the day and the only other person I needed was Silvia. Which just happen to be a friend from work. When those two were teamed up we were unstoppable. I am all for fountain role play but you can forget about that now cause if you hang out there you Die and I know that first hand. BTW what happen to the Fart Emote I think it would say like Naden lets a rip roar go and you are engulfed in a green fog.

What is the issue here? If you want to RP at the fountain, then RP at the fountain.

You'll likely have better results if you actively involve people in RP and bring them to the fountain than suggest it OOC.

Glancing over this thread, some things come to mind. Just thinking of the comments in various threads. But if you know you have enemies, why are you sitting around for them to find you, look at you, watch you, or giving them incentive to considering trouncing you, rather then finding a safe haven to congregate? Its been established that if you're in a faction you're going to expect PK. There are, of course, safety in numbers. Granted, the numbers in each cabal aren't exactly balanced. That an IRL happens, so, you can't expect to have allies online all the time...

Thinking about it, these "fountain areas" were, what? Safe zones? None combat, no magic cast zones? Kinda of believe that those sorts of areas were removed to disengage from possible twinking. Not sure if that was the issue, but it is possible...

Anyway. Its just really strange how someone thinks they're safe in an Inn, surrounded by the walls of a city (We don't have the new updates for city security yet). Anyone can go crazy! We just had someone Fstrike in an Inn for not good reason and, prior to knowledge, an IC debate that lead to PK between the factions of a cabal.

Fountain RP was likely great to find balance, or to sit around and chat it up. Big difference now, but there are plenty of safe havens to idle. So just schooch your booch into your lil corner, curl into fetal position with the dust bunnies, and go to your happy place...

  You are standing on the center square of Exile. Once, King Taslamar
stood here to make declarations to his people. He was a wise king, and
because of him, today his people are happy.  All around, citizens of
this wonderful city are walking happily to their next destination of the
day. Here, there is a statue of the famous King Taslamar. 
  It's mostly clear, warm, and calm.  A first quarter moon hangs in the
sky.

     A set of steel-reinforced boots have been left here on the ground.
     (Glowing) The fountain here is spouting water in all directions.

Ironically its things like this that made you want to become a hero and level up. There was the masses of players between Amateur and Expert. Then the handful of guys who had gotten into mentor and master. Then the pros who where GM.
I know when my first char got to Master I felt great. Things where a lot harder back then. Still the fact there was a number of people between amateur and expert really made the game feel alive. Right now I can sit for 6-10 hours straight and maybe see 4-5 friends or foes. Their just are not that many people who chill in a pulbic waiting around for someone or something to come their way.

This is one of the major reasons I like the push for master being a complete char just to get people RPing about more. Rather than off in their leveling holes, then off in their faction holes.
