swashies, rogues, and scouts in my honest opinion are the underdogs of SK. Swashies for the obvious reasons that have been said countless upon countless times. I don't think rogues are to bad off and with a few tweaks they could be alot better, don't know what tweaks since I don't play and scouts because, well if my pet dies I can't trip or bash, front row equals death. There are so many ways to take care of a scout shooting, if he's second row and you can hit him, trip him, dirt kick, blind blah blah blah. And the scouts redeeming quality, in pvp, ambush can only be used when camouflaged. PvE they are useful for the ambush for sure though until you go to high end places where they can't camouflage and have true sight, then it's really a crappy person with a spear or bow and would be better replaced with a merc/barbar. Oh and they can't ambush with crossbows.

Although I am freshly returning from a long time away.
From what I have seen I would have to say swashies ... because there are none.

Rogues have recite which for as bad as people make them out, this makes them rather powerful. They are also a support class which means the lower number of players the worse for the rogue.

Scouts have their weaknesses in straight combat but a scout should not be fighting in straight combat. I personally feel scouts seem weak because they are so hard to play well when it comes to PvP. Also they are actually more a support class than people are lead to believe herbs and pets make great support to any group. Hit and run, hit and run.

I feel the "special" race class combos are really for RP mostly they each have their own unique flare.

I think that rogues got hit pretty hard with the nerfs to frenzy/GS and weapon enchant changes. The biggest reason that they're weak, however, is that typically veterans can figure out a way to neutralize all but the most intelligent of rogues. There's not a lot of group PvP formations where having a rogue is better than having one of any other class. That doesn't change the fact that the rogue class is still, IMO, a lot of fun to play.

Swashies are still in a state of flux in my mind, as I haven't seen a skilled player roll one since the enchant changes, and there are also more ninja changes going in, such as haste weapon speed not stacking with enchanted weapon speed, which favors swashies IMO.

I've never played a scout, but I've played with a lot of scouts both on and against my team and I think scouts are fine. They have strong utility with herbalism and fletch which synergize very well with their ranged combat skillset. Given that casters also now have to choose between MR, AP and MP on their gear, physical ranged damage got an extremely huge buff against casters.

rogues, and scouts for sure. Especially with the frenzy/gs/haste updates.

Only issue I have with bards is that just about only 3 races can play them and even then, after an age tick or two they can't do much of anything.

I'm not seeing why bards are bad after age ticks, and I think bards got a lot more playable with the ability to enchant stats and the buffs to their songs.
