Would love xbows though that actually have 'clips' as is implied in the xbow help file.

I don't like the suggestion of adding firearms to SK. I do like the idea of basically reworking swashbucklers from the ground up. The previous thread had suggestions I could live with, but there are elements of these suggestions I like.

What? No.

I wish I had the motivation to roll a swashbuckler, and play it. It's essentially a builder problem right now with the crappy mithril that they have to deal with in game.

That, and taunt needs to take advantage of peak stats, and they'd be A-OK.

Ardith has a point, the current mithril in game is only good if you have a slave sorceror to fade it and put AP on it.

Whoa whoa whoa. No one is saying anything about steam punk. They use powder that explodes and fires a tiny metal object...lets get our facts straight...

Thats what was really the overall concern. Smoochy doesn't want to add guns, or rework anything from the ground up. This is simply a vision of what a swashbuckler could be...minus the boring part.

Still guns don't feel like a bad addition, and no one said anything about the technology making crossbows inefficient. A flintlock, is just another long ranged weapon, that is all..

SK actually has more than just a "conceptualization of firearms more sophisticated than the crossbow." The game actually has what amounted to the first real-world cannons already included in the world. Just like real-world, they start out like fireworks, and eventually someone weaponizes the idea.
