Warlocks really don't need anymore buffs even in the form of utility spells like identify.
...I've stayed away from the forums a bit, but honestly I've put a lot of hours into Meph. Yes I'm not good at PK, never have been, but has anyone noticed that, for the most part I play nearly the only active warlock on the mud?
How many vets do you see playing warlocks? For that matter, how many vets do you see being afraid of warlocks? A well enchanted suit and RE and you're entirely immune to a warlock. Throw in shield and that makes the powerful warlock spells laughable. Perfect example is Irition when I fought him in the arena the 2nd time. Now yes, I lost because I didn't have a storebought pet. But after Meph killed him in Ayamao he super enchanted for reflex. I think there were about 4-5 magmas that didn't cling, even after a shocking grasp was thrown in (which reduces reflex). It could be because Meph's build sucks and he has like only 1 art at the most I think, but still.
As for staying on this topic, warlocks don't need scrolls or scribe. If anything they do need identify because it absolutely sucks having to go to someone else to constantly identify for you when a caster class that should be able to do it themselves. If anything else, make their elementals unable to be dispelled so they actually have more than 3 rounds to cast spells.
I know I suck at PK, but I can't recall very many logs of a vet playing a warlock or someone stomping other vets in the PK field unless they're a druid, yet everyone seems to say their fine. Why is that and what am I doing wrong?
