It still seems to work in IE10 with compatibility mode selected.

Thank you! I'll try that.

You mean people actually use that garbage? Kinda just figured everyone was like Smoochy and wrote out their descriptions...no matter have bad they write them~♫

O.o I don't believe I know you, Kissy Cow, so I'll let your assumption slide this time. I love writing descriptions...and I don't do half bad at it, if I do say so myself, trying for that balance between poetic detail and brevity...just not adding color codes bit by bit. With the editor, you highlight text, pick a color, and when you're done with the whole shebang, hit the "gimme the code" button and paste it into your client. Voila! Sometimes things still need tweaked, but it's by far less tedious...to this chick, at least.

@Galactus--I'd love to try your route, if I could wrassle Firefox into submission. It's still refusing to load the add on options for me.

We're all pretty sure that Smoochy is a bot, Threnody, so don't sweat her opinions too much.

EDIT: Also, hit me up on YIM sometime.

Jacket ought to be sure she knows what she's getting into before she starts getting uppity.

I hand write all my descriptions, but this seems very useful.

Drat. I've updated, I've compatibilitied, I've stared at the code as if I know anything about java (although it's in 1.2 which is apparently problematic in various respects, from a brief googling)--for now I wave a white flag and will pout my way through hand-colouring.

I still can't get over Dulrik being surprised by its existence :P (I know about it because I remembered it from my newbie days of compulsively poring over every help link on the site--the links you follow are play and then description, and it's listed there as a resource.)

Not firing up YIM much these days, but next time I'll do so, OA :)

And hiiiiiiiiiiiiii Youma!

Even I'd forgotten about it, and it's in my 'area'.

IE9 works for me, but it's just javascript - shouldn't be too hard to investigate and fix.

These are the only two files involved -
http://www.shatteredkingdoms.org/desc_editor
http://www.shatteredkingdoms.org/editor.js

If anyone has some time to check what the error is in the Chrome console (press F12) and resolve it, I'd be happy to apply updates as necessary.

Cheers.
