Im just curious about other peoples title practice. I try to make my title by the time I reach apprentice myself. I like to have a title that will change as my char grows and I always put some lag time between me reaching a point and the title changing. What about other people when do you make your title, when do you avoid having a title.

As a priest, I would make a title after I get the resurrection spell.

For the most part, it's obviously a matter of personal preference, but I think everyone should have a title once they GM. GMs don't walk around the realms without being noticed.

I try to stay titleless until I feel like I am fit for pvp.

I generally have a preliminary title decided at time of creation, and leave myself open to change it as in-game events shape the character's reputation.

^ All of the above. Except for the part about PvP. I'm never really fit for PvP, but I try anyways.

I make a title (aside from a surname) the moment I come up with something I feel applies to the character: as early as amateur, but almost never later than initiate. The title changes whenever I believe something significant has changed for the character or I come up with something that just sounds better.

I realized this really varies for me, just depending on the type of character I'm playing I guess. I might have a title as soon as I leave the newbie area or sometimes I might not have one until like Champion. Priests and religious characters I usually get a title earlier on.

All I know is that I hate it when GM characters don't have a title. I REALLY hate it when F3s don't have a title (Thuban being the obvious exception) or priests who are able to resurrect don't. I'm sure there are "you-neek" snowflake reasons, but it's just a pet peeve of mine.

Personally, I would be fine if no one ever used a title and all you ever knew was their name.
